VinylDownloads.com was started in April of 2008 when three guys who run small, independent record labels wanted to find a way to intersect the physical product of vinyl with the versatile capabilities of internet downloading. Inspired by the moves some larger Indie labels made, we decided to create a place where smaller, DIY-oriented labels and people can have their vinyl releases still listenable in a more transportable way. We can offer bulk and discounted rates, as well as conform to all of your needs. We are here for you.
Our goal at VinylDownloads is to offer the small, DIY minded labels a cheap and efficent means of keeping the physical product of vinyl relevant. By adding the option to have a high quality digital download accompany a record, we hope to help preserve the luster, appeal and need for vinyl. By using our services, the customer is able to hear the original recording as it was meant to be heard, yet still transfer your album to PC, car or MP3 device.
What this means to you:
Here at VinylDownloads, we handle your entire digital release. Your albums are hosted on our servers, retrievable only by entering the included code. We’ll even work with you to help integrate our download feature into your website. There’s no problem including high-resolution artwork, liner notes and track listings into your digital albums either. We’ve got that covered. You aren’t limited to just MP3 either. For those of you interested in lossless formats, we have that handled as well. While we have a variety of packages to choose from, you may be looking for something we haven’t thought of yet. We’re always willing to work with you directly in order to get exactly what you’re looking for.
Per request, we can even provide reports detailing how often your album has been downloaded, who hasn’t claimed their codes yet, set a specific limit to the download-cap and pretty much anything else you’d like. Soon, we’ll be releasing our client integration to the site which will allow you to view reports on the fly as well as make direct-requests for feature enhancements.
